Grace 24/7 Care Covid-19 Statement

Grace 24/7 Care is well equipped to keep fully abreast of developments relating to the continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the UK. We are routinely monitoring developments, reviewing our protocols, and preparing appropriate responses as the situation evolves.

Grace 24/7 Care is committed to ensuring all steps are taken to protect the health and wellbeing of all our carers and clients. We are working closely with Health Authorities, and Care Regulators to protect carers and clients and maintain service delivery.

Advice During Coronavirus

At this time the UK is just starting to go through the process of moving forward with a large percentage of the population already having their 1st vaccination against covid-19 and some restrictions now being eased, and if things continue where the fatality rate continues to fall, and hospital admissions continue to fall the lock down should be lifted in full on the 21st of June 2021.

However, as with any other virus, the best way to prevent infection and spread is to avoid being exposed to it. We need to continue with the rule of 6 and meeting outside or in our gardens currently, and continue with our infection control procedures as follows:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin straight away, or sneeze into the bend of your elbow, then wash your hands.
  • Avoid close contact with persons who have respiratory illness symptoms.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Cover your face by wearing a face covering in enclosed spaces
  • Make space by staying at least 2 metres apart – or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions.
  • If you have coronavirus symptoms, stay at home (unless you are attending a test site) and book a free NHS test to check if you have coronavirus.
  • If you are asked to self-isolate, please follow the advice from the test and trace service in your area.
  • Please notify us at Grace 24/7 Care if you have tested positive and been in close contact with one of our clients so we can put measures in place.
  • If a member of staff has a positive confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus Grace 24/7 Care will prepare a list of all carers and clients, the affected person has been in contact with for at least the previous 48 hours. We will fully co-operate with local test and trace services and contact customers or their representatives where this is appropriate.

Support Given by Grace 24/7 Care During this Time

Grace 24/7 Care will continue to provide the highest level of care and support our clients expect during the coronavirus pandemic. We follow government guidance in the UK to ensure we protect our clients and our care staff team. PPE is provided to all our care staff for them to use whilst out in the community, this includes gloves, face masks, aprons and hand sanitiser.

Visiting Loved Ones

We would ask that during this time unless really necessary you would refrain from visiting loved ones and bringing other people into the houses and coming and going from the property as this can lead to infection and the spread of the virus. Grace 24/7 Care are doing their upmost best to keep all our clients as safe as possible throughout this time of pandemic.

For those who need to travel, please ensure you are up to date with current COVID-19 guidance for your area.
